Home loan questions
The five we are asked most. Anything else, ask your advisor on the call.
01How much home loan can I get?
Banks lend up to 90% of the property value for loans up to ₹30 lakh, 80% for ₹30 to 75 lakh and 75% above ₹75 lakh, as per RBI rules. The final amount also depends on your income: most banks keep total EMIs within about half of your monthly take-home pay.
02Do you charge anything for arranging the loan?
No. There is no brokerage or processing fee from our side. The bank pays us a standard referral fee, which never changes the rate you are offered.
03How long does the sanction take?
Usually within 7 working days once the bank has a complete file. Most delays come from missing papers, so we check your documents before submitting.
04Can NRIs take a home loan in India?
Yes. NRIs can take a home loan from Indian banks for residential property. EMIs are paid from an NRE or NRO account, and a family member in India can sign on your behalf with a registered power of attorney.
05Can I get a loan for a plot?
Yes, for plots in approved colonies with a clear title. Banks usually lend a smaller share of the value for plots, and some ask that construction starts within a set period. We confirm which banks will fund the plot before you pay a token.
